Basketball Recap: Howard Gets the Win

Howard's game on Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They walked away with a 44-33 victory over the Cottage Cougars. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 64-44 back in November of 2025.

Keegan Roberts had another great game (as he tends to do), putting up 12 points. Crosby Gallinaro was another key player, earning seven points.

Loss or not, Cottage got some senior leadership from Maxwell Lagan and Eric Tepper. Lagan dropped a double-double with 23 points and 18 rebounds, while Tepper posted two points in addition to five boards and five steals. The game was Lagan's 12th in a row with at least 15 points.

Howard's record now sits at 12-5. As for Cottage, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last nine matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-13 record this season.

Howard didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 64-33 win against Cumberland Academy of Georgia on the 2nd. As for Cottage, they have also already played their next game, a 62-35 victory against Varsity Opponent on the 3rd.
