Volleyball Recap: Cordova Comes Up Short

Cordova suffered their biggest loss since April 2, 2024 on Thursday. They lost 3-0 to the Antelope Titans. The Lancers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

While Cordova was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Antelope's winning margin in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 25-16, 25-21.

Leading Antelope to victory were Alex Sweetman and Kingston Berry. Sweetman had 13 assists and three aces, while Berry had eight digs and two assists. Sweetman has been hot for a while, having posted 12 or more assists the last nine times he's played.

The defeat was their first on the road , dropping their record down to 12-7. As for Antelope, their victory bumped their record up to 11-6.

Looking ahead, Cordova will venture away from home to challenge West Park at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. West Park will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Cordova surely won't give up without a fight. As for Antelope, they will take on Vanden in a tournament on Saturday.
