Soccer Game Preview: Blazer vs. Boyd County

The Blazer Tomcats are taking a road trip to challenge the Boyd County Lions at 8:00 p.m. on Monday. Blazer will be strutting in after a victory while Boyd County will be coming in after a loss.

Blazer's defense heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. Everything went their way against Fleming County as they made off with a 5-0 win. Considering Blazer have won six matches by more than two goals this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Despite a strong season so far, Boyd County has seen their luck take a bit of a downturn recently. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of East Carter on Thursday. That's two games in a row now that Boyd County have lost by exactly two goals.

Blazer's victory bumped their record up to 8-9. As for Boyd County, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-4-2.

Blazer came up short against Boyd County in their previous matchup back in September, falling 3-1. Can the Tomcats avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
