Baseball Recap: Kankakee Takes a Loss

Kankakee fell victim to Manteno and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They lost 7-0 to the Panthers. The Kays haven't had much luck with the Panthers recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Kankakee's loss dropped their record down to 7-21. As for Manteno, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 16-7.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Kankakee will venture away from home to challenge Coal City at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Kays' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Coalers have averaged an impressive 7.7 runs per game this season. As for Manteno, they are taking a road trip to take on Pontiac at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
