Football Recap: Sunnyvale Starts off Right with Win over Aubrey + How To Watch

Sunnyvale had to kick off their season on the road on Friday, but they showed no ill effects. They took down the Aubrey Chaparrals 35-17. This was payback for Sunnyvale, who suffered a 33-31 loss the last time these two teams met.

Cayson Maupin was nothing short of spectacular: he threw for 207 yards and two touchdowns on only 12 passes, and also punched in one TD on the ground. A healthy portion of Maupin's aerial production (82 yards to be exact) went to Greyson Walker, who also brought in a receiving touchdown.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Sunnyvale will head out to square off against Ranchview at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Aubrey, they are packing up and heading out for their first away game of the season: they will take on Kennedale at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
