Football Recap: Sunnyvale Starts Season with Victory Against Aubrey + How To Watch

Sunnyvale had to kick off their season on the road on Friday, but they showed no ill effects. They took down the Aubrey Chaparrals 35-17. This was payback for Sunnyvale, who suffered a 33-31 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Cayson Maupin was a one-man wrecking crew as he threw for 207 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only 12 passes, and also punched in one TD on the ground. A healthy portion of Maupin's aerial production (82 yards to be exact) went to Greyson Walker, who also brought in a receiving touchdown.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Sunnyvale will challenge Ranchview at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Aubrey, they will square off against Kennedale at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
