Soccer Recap: Valencia Comes Up Short

Valencia lost against West Ranch back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Valencia Vikings fell just short of the West Ranch Wildcats by a score of 2-1. While losing is never fun, the Vikings can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 545th, while the Wildcats are ranked 256th).

Valencia's loss dropped their record down to 3-3. As for West Ranch, their win bumped their record up to 4-1-2.

Valencia will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Canyon at 5:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025. As for West Ranch, they will be taking part in a tournament against Granada Hills Charter at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday.
