Cedaredge entered their tilt with Rangely on Saturday with seven consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with eight. They were the clear victors by a 16-1 margin over the Panthers. While the Bruins didn't have the best season last year (they finished 7-14), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Brady Cooper was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out nine over four innings pitched. He has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than one earned run in five consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-4 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.

In other batting news, Carson Rupp was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-2. Another player making a difference was Trenton Ryan, who went 1-for-2 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

Cedaredge pushed their record up to 8-1 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.4 runs on average over those games. As for Rangely, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-4.

Looking ahead, Cedaredge is taking a road trip to take on Sargent at 12:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Rangely, they will host Grand Valley at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
