Softball Recap: Oscoda Comes Up Short

Oscoda made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Hillman, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Owls fell just short of the Tigers by a score of 5-3 on Monday. The loss continues a trend for the Owls in their meetings with the Tigers: they've now lost five in a row.

Oscoda saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Sophia Mendyk, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

Oscoda's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Hillman, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 7-2.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Oscoda will face off against rival Whittemore-Prescott at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Hillman is set to challenge their familiar foe Atlanta at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
