Baseball Recap: Wildwood Takes a Loss

Wildwood lost against Pennsville Memorial back in May of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Warriors lost 16-2 to the Eagles.

Wildwood saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brian Cunniff, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2. Ryan Gilligan also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Wildwood's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Pennsville Memorial, their victory was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Wildwood will challenge Pitman at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Pennsville Memorial, they will square off against Overbrook at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
