Basketball Recap: Marysville-Pilchuck Takes a Loss

Marysville-Pilchuck was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They took a blow against Marysville Getchell, falling 77-28. The contest marked the Tomahawks' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Marysville Getchell's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Zach Rice, who went 6 for 10 from beyond the arc on his way to 22 points and six rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Zackary Pittman, who almost dropped a double-double on 14 points and nine boards.

Marysville-Pilchuck's loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Marysville Getchell, the win got them back to even at 2-2.

Marysville-Pilchuck will head out to challenge Ferndale at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. As for Marysville Getchell, they will head out on the road to square off against Bothell/Inglemoor at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. Marysville Getchell is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 58.8 points per game this season.
