            Volleyball Recap: Cypress Creek Coyotes vs. Mitchell Mustangs        
        
		
        
        
            
If Cypress Creek was feeling good  fresh off their  3-0 takedown of IMG Academy Black on Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Coyotes fell just short of the Mitchell Mustangs by a score of  3-2 on Wednesday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Coyotes of the  3-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture  back in August of 2024.
 In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, Cypress Creek sadly dropped the once that decided the match. The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 19-25, 25-16, 11-25,  15-9.
 Addison Wilkes paced Cypress Creek's offense, picking up 21 kills. Wilkes got some help from  Ava Hofferberth and her 39 assists. Wilkes was also solid from the service line:  she led the team with 11 aces.
 Mitchell's win  was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from   Lily Unger, who  had 20  digs and two  aces. That's the most  digs  Unger has posted since back in August.  Emma Hatzistefanou was another key player,  getting seven  digs and two  aces.
Cypress Creek's loss was  their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which  dropped their record down to 3-4. As for Mitchell, the  victory was  the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 14-1.
 Cypress Creek has already played their next match,  a  3-1  win against Pasco on the 25th. As for Mitchell, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next  matchup,  a  3-1  victory against Lecanto on the 25th.
