It was a proper cat-fight when West Bridgewater faced off against Case on Friday. The Wildcats blew past the Cardinals 37-7. The  matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached  30-0.
West Bridgewater's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was   Ty Holmes, who rushed for 142 yards and two  scores on only nine carries.  Thomas Polidori was in the mix  as well, providing the Wildcats with two TDs.
 They were just one part of a punishing run game: West Bridgewater was unstoppable on the ground and  finished the game with 242  rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Case only  rushed for 117.
 Despite the loss, Case still got an impressive performance from   Aedan Borges, who rushed for 102 yards and one  touchdown on only 13 carries. The bulk of those rushing yards came from one huge play: a run that gained an incredible 80 yards.
West Bridgewater's win was  their third straight on the road, which  pushed their record up to 3-1. The  road  victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 11.7 points on average over those games. As for Case, they now  have a losing record of 2-3.
 Coming up, West Bridgewater will face off against Fairhaven at 6:00  p.m.  on Friday. The Wildcats will need to watch out since the Blue Devils have now posted at least 31  points  every time they've taken the field this season. As for Case, they will square off against Bourne at 6:30  p.m.  on Thursday. The Canalmen's defense has only allowed four  points per game  this season, so the Cardinals' offense will have their work cut out for them.
