Volleyball Recap: Camelback Takes a Loss

Camelback lost against Tucson High Magnet School back in March of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Camelback fell 3-1 to Tucson High Magnet School. The Spartans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 22-25, 25-16, 25-17.

Alan Diaz paced Camelback's offense, picking up 13 kills. Diaz got some help from Kevin Alamilla Hernandez and his 20 assists. Diaz was also solid from the service line: he led the team with four aces.

Camelback's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Tucson High Magnet School, the victory got them back to even at 6-6.

Camelback wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 loss against Marana on the 21st. As for Tucson High Magnet School, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Walden Grove at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Walden Grove will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Tucson High Magnet School surely won't give up without a fight.
