Football Recap: Perry Central Takes a Loss

Perry Central extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to four on Friday, dropping them down to 0-3. They took a 20-6 bruising from the Crawford County Wolfpack. The Commodores were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Wolfpack apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

As for Crawford County, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-1. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 38.0 points over those games.

Kaidyn Messer was nothing short of spectacular: he rushed for 189 yards and a pair of touchdowns while picking up 7.3 yards per carry. Crawford County also got a significant boost from Brody Fish, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 93 yards.

Perry Central didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 49-0 defeat against Paoli on the 12th. As for Crawford County, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 38-14 victory against South Decatur on the 12th.
