Baseball Game Preview: Fossil Ridge Panthers vs. Aledo Bearcats

A feisty cat fight will be fought as Fossil Ridge Panthers duke it out with Aledo Bearcats at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Fossil Ridge is headed into the contest having just suffered their closest defeat since April 26, 2024 on Friday. They fell just short of Brewer by a score of 6-4. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Aledo faced Marcus in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. Aledo fell just short of Marcus by a score of 5-4. The Bearcats' loss signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Aledo saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Wilson Sehnem, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base and one RBI. Those two hits gave Sehnem a new career-high. Johnny Ruflin was another, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 1-for-3.

Fossil Ridge's defeat dropped their record down to 5-15-2. As for Aledo, their loss dropped their record down to 12-5.
