Baseball Recap: New Roads Takes a Loss

New Roads lost against Milken back in February of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The New Roads Jaguars took a 7-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Milken Wildcats. The Jaguars have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

New Roads saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Matthew Linares, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3. Santiago Jimenez also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

New Roads' defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Milken, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-1.

Looking ahead, a feisty cat fight will be fought as the Jaguars duke it out with the Panthers at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Milken, they will be playing at home against Faith Baptist at 2:45 p.m. on Monday.
