Basketball Recap: Jeremiah Roach Key Part of Team Effort in Patriots Win

Friendly hadn't done well against Potomac recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Friendly Patriots sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 42-39 win over the Potomac Wolverines. This was a revenge game for the Patriots: when they faced off against the Wolverines back in January, they had to take a 62-39 defeat.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Friendly to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jeremiah Roach, who went 5-for-10 to rack up 15 points and seven steals. The dominant performance gave Roach a new career-high in steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Joel Danquah, who posted 11 points.

Despite the loss, Potomac still got an impressive performance from Davon Pate, who almost dropped a double-double with ten points and nine boards. Thanks to that strong game, Pate now owns an excellent 46% field goal percentage. Jalen Alston was another key player, putting up 11 points.

Friendly's record now sits at 6-15. As for Potomac, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-14.

Friendly has already played their next match (against Central), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Potomac, they have already played their next contest, a 95-8 victory against International High School at Largo on the 20th.
