Basketball Recap: Shadow Ridge Takes a Loss

Shadow Ridge was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They took a 59-47 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Valley Vista Monsoon. The Stallions were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Monsoon earlier this season, when they won 67-46.

When it comes to explaining why Shadow Ridge lost, don't look at Quinn Schimdt. Despite the final result, he shot 45% from the field on his way to 16 points and six rebounds. Schimdt has also been stellar as far as shooting accuracy is concerned: he's posted one of at least 45% every time he's hit the court this season. Kolton Catlett was another key player, putting up nine points and five boards.

Shadow Ridge's defeat dropped their record down to 14-11. As for Valley Vista, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 9-14 record this season.

As of now, neither Shadow Ridge nor Valley Vista have any future games scheduled.
