Softball Recap: Harbor Springs Rams vs. Johannesburg-Lewiston Cardinals
Harbor Springs extended their losing streak to eight on Wednesday, dropping their season record down to 2-8 in the process. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 10-8 heartbreaker at the hands of the Johannesburg-Lewiston Cardinals. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Cardinals this season, with their most recent loss being a 21-5 defeat on Wednesday.
As for Johannesburg-Lewiston, the win was the 16th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 25-3. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.8 runs on average over those games.
For Johannesburg-Lewiston's part, they let Madison Peppin and Brittney Fox run wild. Peppin went 2-for-3 with four RBI, one stolen base, and one run, while Fox went 2-for-5 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.
