Basketball Game Preview: Tipton Tigers vs. Mid-Prairie Golden Hawks

The Tipton Tigers will challenge the Mid-Prairie Golden Hawks on Friday. Tipton is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last five games.

Tipton is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They breezed by North Cedar to the tune of 76-39 on Monday.

Meanwhile, Mid-Prairie entered their game against Regina on Tuesday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. Mid-Prairie took a 62-51 hit to the loss column at the hands of Regina.

Tipton has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.7 points per game. As for Mid-Prairie, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-2.

Tipton strolled past Mid-Prairie when the teams last played back in February of 2024 by a score of 68-54. Will Tipton repeat their success, or does Mid-Prairie have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
