Plainfield waltzed into their match on Monday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Johnson Crusaders. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Cardinals have posted since September 4th.

Plainfield had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 12-25, 25-12, 25-22.

Plainfield's win bumped their record up to 10-4. As for Johnson, they are on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.
