You can't lose the game if you win every quarter, and that was precisely Van-Far's strategy against Wellsville-Middletown on Tuesday. The Van-Far Indians enjoyed a cozy  54-35 win over the Wellsville-Middletown Tigers. For the Indians, this counts as revenge for the   40-30 victory the Tigers walked away with the last time they faced one another  back in February of 2024.
 Van-Far's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was   Elliott Utterback, who  went 9-for-18  on her way to 25  points. That makes it four consecutive games in which  Utterback has scored at least a third of Van-Far's points. The team also got some help courtesy of  Mylee Keller, who  posted 13 points and three  steals.
The  victory made it two in a row for Van-Far and  bumps their season record up to 6-15. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 50.5 points over those games. As for Wellsville-Middletown,  they are  on  a  six-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 3-18.
 Both  squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Van-Far will head out to  face off against South Callaway  at 5:00  p.m.  on Monday. As for Wellsville-Middletown,  a feisty cat fight will be fought as  the Tigers  face off against  the Bobcats at 5:30  p.m.  on Friday.
