Oklahoma Christian (8 Man) recap Oct. 16, 2012

Wright Christian's Logan Bowline rumbled for the longest rushing play in Oklahoma Christian (8 Man) this season in his game against Southwest Christian Academy last week. Bowline ran for 85 yards on the play and finished with 151 on the day as his team beat the Eagles.

Bowline and Matt Haymes provided fans with a highlight when they connected against Southwest Christian Academy. The connection was good for 98 yards, the longest such play in the league this season.

Taylor Larson made the biggest impact on defense this week as Windsor Hills Baptist lost to Destiny Christian. The 6-foot-0 sophomore pulled down two interceptions.

Haymes was the best wideout in the league this week as Wright Christian defeated Steven Hutcherson's team. Haymes tallied three receptions for 142 yards. Tyler Fisher helped Wright Christian's passing attack out by catching one ball for 23 yards.

Brad Keeton put up the best numbers through the air as the Bulldogs fell to the Wildcats. He finished with a total of seven completions for 180 yards and three touchdowns. Keeton's favorite target this week was Johnathan Bruner, who caught three passes for 108 yards.

Destiny Christian's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Wildcats feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Craig Hofeld has thrown for 1745 yards and 21 touchdowns this season, while Colton Hamel has 44 catches for 932 yards. Boston Mims leads the league in rushing with 632 yards.

Hamel of the Destiny Christian's is a few catches away from breaking 1,000 yards for the season. He needs only 68 receiving yards in this week's game against Cookson Hills Christian to get there.

Joe Biddle's team was able to crack the Top 25 in the state rankings this week after beating Windsor Hills Baptist. The Wildcats came in at 25 in the state poll after placing at number 33 last week.
