The Olympia Titans will take on the Lake Brantley Patriots in a tournament on Friday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Olympia took a loss when they played away from home on Monday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Wednesday. They came out on top against Innovation by a score of 3-1.
Olympia had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 23-25, 26-24, 25-14, 25-21.

Olympia had a senior duo take command as Jacob Lee had 13 digs and two aces and Will Edwards had 28 assists and four digs. Those 28 assists set a new season-high mark for Edwards.
Meanwhile, Lake Brantley faced Bishop Moore in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The Patriots walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Hornets. Winning may never get old, but the Patriots sure are getting used to it with their fifth in a row.

The win got Olympia back to even at 5-5. As for Lake Brantley, they pushed their record up to 12-2 with the victory, which was their third straight at home.
Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Friday's game: Olympia has really dialed in their serving this season, having averaged 6.6 aces per game. However, it's not like Lake Brantley struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 8.6 aces. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
Olympia was able to grind out a solid win over Lake Brantley in their previous matchup back in March of 2023, winning 2-0. Will the Titans repeat their success, or do the Patriots have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
