Baseball Game Preview: Carrabec Cobras vs. Telstar Rebels

For the first time this season, Carrabec will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup. They are taking a road trip to challenge the Telstar Rebels at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

Carrabec can't be too happy about their upcoming road game considering what happened when they opened their season away from home on Thursday. They lost 9-3 to Buckfield. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it four in a row.

Carrabec saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Zack Davis, who went 2-for-3 with one run.

Meanwhile, Telstar came up short against Waynflete on Wednesday and fell 9-6. The loss put an end to the Rebels' undefeated start to the season.

Brody Walker was cooking despite his team's loss, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. Walker is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: he's snagged at least one every time he's taken the field this season.

Everything went Carrabec's way against Telstar in their previous matchup back in May of 2023, as Carrabec made off with a 14-6 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Cobras since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
