Volleyball Recap: Morrow's Run of Five Straight Wins Now Over

After a string of five wins, Morrow's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They fell just short of the Dutchtown Bulldogs by a score of 2-1. The Mustangs were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Bulldogs earlier this season, when they won 2-0.

Morrow actually scored more points across those three sets (60-58), but sadly they still had to settle for second. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 18-25, 25-23, 15-12.

Ariel Jackson paced Morrow's offense, picking up seven kills. Jackson got some help from Player #10 and her eight assists. Hope White controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Morrow's loss dropped their record down to 20-13. As for Dutchtown, they pushed their record up to 18-19 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home.

Morrow wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against Lovejoy on the 9th. As for Dutchtown, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against McIntosh on the 9th.
