Soccer Game Preview: Newport - Bellevue vs. Inglemoor

The Newport - Bellevue Knights will take on the Inglemoor Vikings at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Newport - Bellevue has four straight victories, Inglemoor has three straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the pitch.

While Newport - Bellevue's win against Bothell/Inglemoor wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Knights narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Cougars 2-1.

Meanwhile, Thursday just wasn't the day for Inglemoor's offense. They lost 6-0 to Skyline on Thursday.

Newport - Bellevue pushed their record up to 11-2-2 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 14 goals over those five matches. As for Inglemoor, their loss dropped their record down to 6-8.

Everything went Newport - Bellevue's way against Inglemoor in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, as Newport - Bellevue made off with a 4-1 win. Do the Knights have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Vikings turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
