Preview: Liberty Leopards vs. LaBrae Vikings
The Liberty Leopards will be home for the holidays to greet the LaBrae Vikings at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Liberty is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
Last Thursday, things could have been worse for Liberty, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 43-24 loss to Newton Falls.
Meanwhile, LaBrae didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Brookfield on Monday, but they still walked away with a 46-42 victory. Given LaBrae's advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 174th, while Brookfield is ranked 696th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Liberty bumped their record down to 0-7 with that loss, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for LaBrae, their win bumped their record up to 6-1.
Everything came up roses for Liberty against LaBrae in their previous matchup back in January as the team secured a 57-30 victory. Will Liberty repeat their success, or does LaBrae have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
