Baseball Game Preview: Chisago Lakes Area Wildcats vs. Big Lake Hornets

The Chisago Lakes Area Wildcats will head out on the road to take on the Big Lake Hornets at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

Chisago Lakes Area blew Zimmerman out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Tuesday Zimmerman got their revenge. The Wildcats fell just short of the Thunder by a score of 6-4. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it six in a row.

Chisago Lakes Area saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cole Stilp, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Big Lake lost 8-1 to Princeton on Thursday. The Hornets have struggled against the Tigers recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost meeting.

Chisago Lakes Area came up short against Big Lake in their previous matchup back in May of 2024, falling 5-0. Can the Wildcats avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
