Basketball Recap: Rattan Extends Home Winning Streak to Seven

Rattan won against Battiest last Monday with 58 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Thursday. The Rattan Rams narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Valliant Bulldogs 58-56. The victory was familiar territory for the Rams who have now won three matchups in a row.

Rattan pushed their record up to 12-2 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season. As for Valliant, they have also been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-7 record this season.

Rattan will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Caddo at 8:00 p.m. on January 30th. Valliant has already played their next game, a 63-58 loss against Smithville on the 17th.
