Baseball Recap: Woden Takes a Loss

The Woden Eagles came up short against the Brookeland Wildcats on Friday, falling 12-4.

Woden saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Wade Stanaland, who went 3-for-4 with one triple, one stolen base, and one run. Stanaland has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played.

Woden's loss dropped their record down to 13-8. As for Brookeland, their victory was their 17th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 11-2.

Coming up, Woden will welcome Gary at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Brookeland, they will head out on the road to square off against Zavalla at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
