Soccer Game Preview: Modesto vs. Turlock

Modesto and Turlock are an even 4-4-2 against one another since February of 2019, but likely not for long. The Modesto Panthers will welcome the Turlock Bulldogs at 5:45 p.m. on Wednesday.

Turlock will have to contend with a Modesto squad hungry for a victory, something the team hasn't seen since November 25. Modesto fell 3-1 to Merced on Monday.

Turlock, on the other hand, haven't lost since December 7, 2024 and they too continued that trend. Everything went their way against Atwater back in December of 2024 as Turlock made off with a 4-1 win. The Bulldogs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four matches by three goals or more this season.

They hit Atwater with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Eric Sambrano, Alexander Navas, Fernando Carbajal, and Sebastian Carbajal.

Turlock pushed their record up to 5-4-2 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 11 goals over those three games. As for Modesto, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-8-2.

Modesto beat Turlock by a goal in their previous meeting back in February of 2024, winning 5-4. Will Modesto repeat their success, or does Turlock have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
