Volleyball Recap: Tri-State Christian Starts Season with Defeat at Home

Tri-State Christian unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They fell 3-1 to the East Moline Christian Eagles on Friday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Huskies of the 2-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 13-25, 25-14, 25-21.

Ella Hilborn paced Tri-State Christian's offense, picking up seven kills. Hilborn got some help from Emma Hilborn and her 18 assists. Emma was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Tri-State Christian will be playing in front of their home fans against Morning Star Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for East Moline Christian, they will head out to challenge Pathway Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
