Soccer Game Preview: Plainfield vs. Decatur Central

Plainfield is on a three-game streak of home losses, and Decatur Central a three-game streak of away losses. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Tuesday. The Plainfield Quakers will host the Decatur Central Hawks at 7:00 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

On Saturday, Plainfield didn't have quite enough to beat Westfield and fell 2-1. Logan Scott was hit with a yellow card, which may have had some impact on his (and the team's) ability to make aggressive plays.

Meanwhile, Decatur Central didn't have quite enough to beat Franklin Central on Friday and fell 3-2.

Plainfield now has a losing record of 5-6-3. As for Decatur Central, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-6-1.

Plainfield was able to grind out a solid win over Decatur Central when the teams last played back in October of 2024, winning 2-0. Will the Quakers repeat their success, or do the Hawks have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
