Soccer Game Preview: Riverside-Brookfield vs. Glenbard East

The Riverside-Brookfield Bulldogs are taking a road trip to face off against the Glenbard East Rams at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Riverside-Brookfield is headed in fresh off scoring the most goals they have all season. They put the hurt on Ridgewood with a sharp 6-0 victory on Thursday. Riverside-Brookfield haven't had any issues with Ridgewood recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive win against them.

Meanwhile, Glenbard East waltzed into their contest on Saturday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came out on top against the Tigers by a score of 3-1.

Riverside-Brookfield's victory was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-2-1 and their overall record up to 4-11-1. As for Glenbard East, their win bumped their record up to 5-7-2.

Riverside-Brookfield beat Glenbard East by a goal in their previous matchup back in May of 2023, winning 2-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bulldogs since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
