Volleyball Game Preview: Somerset Academy Panthers vs. Cooper City Cowboys

The Somerset Academy Panthers will look to take advantage of their home court for the first time this season as they take on the Cooper City Cowboys at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Somerset Academy is coming home in high spirits after they had to open their season on the road against David Posnack Jewish Day. Somerset Academy sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 win over David Posnack Jewish Day on Monday.

The match was a true back-and-forth as no team won consecutive sets, but in the end it was Somerset Academy who won the one that mattered. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 21-25, 25-14, 22-25, 15-6.

Meanwhile, Cooper City gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Tuesday. Everything went their way against Coral Glades as Cooper City made off with a 3-0 victory.

Cooper City walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the second set). The final score came out to 25-21, 25-6, 25-17.
