Basketball Game Preview: Spring Valley Grizzlies vs. Centennial Bulldogs

The Spring Valley Grizzlies are taking a road trip to take on the Centennial Bulldogs at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Spring Valley is coming into the match on a five-game losing streak.

Last Thursday, Spring Valley was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 59-53 to Silverado.

Centennial has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They took a 71-62 hit to the loss column at the hands of Mojave on Thursday. The game was a 27-27 toss-up at halftime, but the Bulldogs couldn't quite close it out.

Centennial's loss ended a seven-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 20-3. As for Spring Valley, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-11.

Spring Valley and Centennial were neck-and-neck in their previous matchup back in February of 2024, but Spring Valley came up empty-handed after a 60-59 loss. Can Spring Valley avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
