Basketball Recap: Bloomfield Christian School Comes Up Short

Bloomfield Christian School came up into this matchup off a tough 22-point loss last Friday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of Springfield Christian Academy by a score of 41-38 on Tuesday. The Defenders were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Springfield Christian Academy apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February of 2017.

It was another big night for Colbie Combs, who posted 18 points for Springfield Christian Academy. That makes it four consecutive games in which Combs has scored at least a third of Springfield Christian Academy's points. Another player making a difference was Kaylin Zettle, who earned 14 points and five rebounds.

This is the second loss in a row for Bloomfield Christian School and nudges their season record down to 2-2. As for Springfield Christian Academy, the victory also got them back to even at 2-2.

Bloomfield Christian School wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 41-6 win against FAITH HomeSchool on the 19th. As for Springfield Christian Academy, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Community Baptist Christian at 5:00 p.m. on January 16, 2025.
