Volleyball Recap: Colleton Prep Academy Takes a Loss

Colleton Prep Academy lost against Andrew Jackson Academy last Monday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The War Hawks took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Warriors. The War Hawks' loss continues a trend for the team, making it six in a row.

Colleton Prep Academy started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 20-25, 25-21, 25-18, 25-11.

It was another big night for McKinnley Beard, who had 22 kills, 11 aces, and one block for Andrew Jackson Academy. Those 11 aces gave Beard a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Bella Carrigg, who had 36 assists and three digs.

Colleton Prep Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 8-17-1. As for Andrew Jackson Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won 14 of their last 17 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 25-7 record this season.

Colleton Prep Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Andrew Jackson Academy, they will face off against Beaufort Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
