Volleyball Recap: Lakeside Lutheran Comes Up Short

Lakeside Lutheran was the 2-0 winner over Union Grove when they last played one another back in August of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Warriors fell just short of the Broncos by a score of 2-1 on Saturday. The Warriors have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Charlotte Larson paced Lakeside Lutheran's offense, picking up eight kills. Larson got some help from Grace Hoppenrath and her 15 assists. Gemma Wegner controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Lakeside Lutheran's loss dropped their record down to 13-21. As for Union Grove, the win snapped their losing streak at seven matches and leaves them with a 13-16 record.

Lakeside Lutheran wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-1 defeat against Whitnall on the 4th. As for Union Grove, they have also already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against Edgerton on the 4th.
