Baseball Recap: Dunlap Beats Morton for Their Fourth Straight Win

Dunlap waltzed into their contest on Wednesday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They walked away with a 5-2 win over the Morton Potters. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 8-0 on Monday.

Landon Gray looked comfortable as he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been consistent for a while: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in ten consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Christian Ferrari, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI and one double. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in April. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaxson Tresenriter, who got on base in two of his three plate appearances with two runs.

Dunlap's victory bumped their record up to 21-7. As for Morton, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 19-11.

Coming up, Dunlap will square off against Sterling at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Morton, they will face off against East Moline United at 4:15 p.m. on Friday.
