Ray had won five straight games and Huzefa Ullah did his part to make it six on Thursday. The Texans claimed a resounding 87-47 win over the Bellaire Cardinals for which the team can thank Ullah, who shot 4-for-6 from long range and dropped a double-double with 41 points and 11 boards. His big performance that evening made it five games in a row in which he has scored at least 19 points.

Another player making a difference was Jack Pohlmeier, who posted five points and three steals. He is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in each of the last five games he's played.

When it comes to explaining why Bellaire lost, don't look at Jalen Spear. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double with 15 points and 17 rebounds. Spear continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Anthony Ayala was another key player, putting up nine points.

Ray's victory bumped their record up to 6-0. As for Bellaire, they are on a ten-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-9.

Ray has already played their next matchup, a 57-53 loss against Akins on the 5th. As for Bellaire, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 64-60 win against Carroll on the 5th.
