There's no place like home for Thomaston, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Lauralton Hall Crusaders on Wednesday as they made off with a 20-6 win. The result was nothing new for the Bears, who have now won nine matchups by six runs or more so far this season.
Sloan Walmsley was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Walmsley was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with three runs, one triple, and one double.
In other batting news, Jackie Phillips was incredible, going 4-for-5 with six RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. That's the most hits she has posted since back in April. Another player making a difference was Addison Patchell, who got on base in four of her five plate appearances with four runs and three RBI.
Thomaston kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in three consecutive contests.
Thomaston's victory bumped their record up to 12-9. As for Lauralton Hall, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-16.
