Softball Recap: Lincoln County Comes Up Short

Lincoln County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They lost 7-1 to the Ardmore Tigers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Falcons of the 9-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2021.

Hana Corder made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with one home run.

Lincoln County's loss dropped their record down to 13-13-2. As for Ardmore, their win bumped their record up to 24-17-1.

Looking ahead, Lincoln County will be playing at home against Moore County at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Falcons' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Raiders have averaged an impressive 7.4 runs per game this season. As for Ardmore, they will venture away from home to take on Hazel Green at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
