Softball Recap: Mulberry Grove Aces vs. Greenville Comets

It was a good run, but Mulberry Grove unfortunately witnessed the end of their eight-game winning streak on Thursday. They fell just short of the Greenville Comets by a score of 9-8. Mulberry Grove was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Greenville apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2023.

Lily Johnson spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and six unearned) runs on nine hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in 11 consecutive pitching appearances.
