Wood Memorial took a eight-run loss the last time they faced off against North Knox, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Trojans sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 win over the Warriors on Thursday. The victory was familiar territory for the Trojans, who have now won four matchups in a row.

Wood Memorial pushed their record up to 11-6 with the win, which was their third straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 16.3 runs over those games. As for North Knox, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-11.

Looking ahead, Wood Memorial will face off against Northeast Dubois at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for North Knox, they have already played their next contest, an 11-10 loss against Sullivan on the 26th.
