Basketball Recap: Tri-Township Comes Up Short

Tri-Township lost against Westville back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Tri-Township Tigers were dealt a 73-20 loss at the hands of the Westville Blackhawks. The match marked the Tigers' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Brian Jackson was his usual excellent self, going 11 for 20 en route to 28 points along with six assists and six rebounds for Westville. Jackson's evening made it 11 games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Maverick Markos was another key player, putting up 14 points and seven boards.

Tri-Township has been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-11 record this season. As for Westville, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 8-6 record this season.

Tri-Township will head out to face off against South Central at 7:00 p.m. on January 31st. Westville has already played their next match, a 74-61 defeat against Kouts on the 25th.
