Basketball Recap: Spartanburg Day Skates Past Oakbrook Prep with Ease

Spartanburg Day had to endure a six-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat the Oakbrook Prep Knights 44-17. This was payback for the Griffins, who suffered a 43-27 loss the last time these two teams met.

Spartanburg Day's win bumped their record up to 2-6. As for Oakbrook Prep, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-9.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Spartanburg Day will challenge First Presbyterian Academy at Shannon Forest at 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday. First Presbyterian Academy at Shannon Forest is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 51.1 points per game this season. As for Oakbrook Prep, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Laurens Academy at 7:00 p.m. on January 28th.
