Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Mountain View). Everything went their way against the Mark Keppel Aztecs on Monday as the Mountain View Vikings made off with an 8-1 win. Considering the Vikings have won six contests by more than three goals this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Mountain View is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 8-3-2 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 17 goals over those four games. As for Mark Keppel, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-7-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mountain View will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Monrovia at 4:00 p.m. on January 3, 2025. Mark Keppel will also get a bit of a break before their next contest: they'll face off against San Jacinto at 5:30 p.m. on January 6, 2025.
